Cat Litter That Doesn't Stink
Yes, this is about Kitty Poo Club, but let me tell you about my repeat experience about this WOOSTER OHIO based business.
I caught on to Kitty Poo Club pretty early on, you know, before they hit it big and raised their prices...I had an older cat (Gwenie) that just had horribly stinky urine, even though he was fixed. He did have some kidney issues going on and he was pretty old at the time. Visitors would walk in the house and say "OMG". I was so embarrassed and I loved my cat, it broke my heart to hear family and friends complain. They were right, but it still sucked.
I ended up using the corn/wheat litter for him and that helped. What I love about the club's silica litter is that the urine dries out unlike any other litter that is just going to hang onto that awful ammonia and waste smell. If you've ever let a cat litter box go uncleaned for too long, you know that awful smell.
Gwen, may his stinky pee self rest in peace
Well why not just scoop it everyday? Like a normal healthy person would?
We're not all perfect Sharon. For most of us it is an afterthought, for many more it isn't until the smell is unbearable that we might decide oh hey its time to dump the entire box out. I've lived in/with all types of homes and I can tell you that it wasn't until my adult life that I learned you SHOULD have one box plus one for each cat. So one cat needs two boxes, two cats need 3 boxes and so on. That is a healthy and normal amount to prevent episodes like "oh hey the cat peed on the laundry pile again."
Just like Mr. oatmeal, I had far too many cats and one single box
I could tell you, just don't have a laundry pile. No S%$t! Life is not perfect and many hardworking families have a laundry pile. Not you?
Good for you!
Here is the really cool benefit to ordering from Kitty Poo Club, the box the litter comes in IS your litter box.
Yes you scoop it daily to help the urine dry out - just trust me and I have an excellent solution to help you do this. More on that later.
But a the end of the month when the box is really to be dumped, the box collapses down, and packs up just like it arrived and it won't leak and it can easily be thrown into the dumpster or trash bin.
Then you just set up the new box!
Also and slightly more cost effective, you can use your own plastic litter box and just buy the bags of litter. This year I went that route and I am telling you it is worth the sanity and I just have one cat. I want all the cats, I really do. I once had eight indoor/outdoor cats and I lived a life very similar to this amazing story by The Oatmeal - "When Your House is Burning Down You Should Brush Your Teeth". You must give it a read, I've never laughed so hard.
But anyway, I hate cleaning the litterbox, but this litter does require a stir once a day so what I did was get a litter genie, I keep the box and genie close by a path I have to walk by frequently in the house. I walk by, scoop and toss it in the genie. The genie is smell free and can hold a lot. If you've ever used the diaper version it is similar. When full you pull the bag out, cut, twist, tie. Pull the bag down in the genie, tie it off and its ready for next time.
What's it cost, about $30 a month in 2023. (Ok that's one box but remember 1+1 so double it)
But Gab I only spend (X amount less than $30, 60, 90) per month on cat litter
Once again,
GOOD FOR YOU
Did you know clay litter has a ton of bad stuff in it? Thanks to Gwenie kitty's needs I discovered that clay litter has carcinogens in it. Wow! Why would we willingly put poison in our cat's litter boxes and into our homes? The one friend we have is being exposed to toxins on the regular not to mention our children.
Do you want cancer? Do you want kitty cancer? Keep using clay litter right? Wrong. Stop it. Leave it like a bad date. Source - Link
I'm skeptical about how the silica stuff breaks down or not but since I alone cannot save the earth, this litter is well worth my sanity.
For $360 (2023 Price) a year, (One Box per month, larger amounts discounted) you can get a box that you completely change EASILY once a month, you give the litter a stir daily as you should anyway with a clay litter. (but none of us do)
Finally, the Kitty Poo Club HQ is in Wooster Ohio! Stark's Neighbor! How can we NOT support that!?!
