4 Ways To Start Shopping Local
1. Farmer's Markets
Check to see which farmer’s markets are in your area and bring cash with you. This helps them avoid the pesky 3%+ fee they have to pay when processing debit/credit cards.
Here is a link to view our area markets in Stark Co. If you need another market to be on that list OR if you are a vendor please fill out the contact form.
2. Shop Produce that is in-season
Find out what is in season by checking this website: https://www.seasonalfoodguide.org/
We aren’t all farmers, we’re not all knowledgeable of what is in season especially in a state like Ohio where the weather changes every 15 minutes.
3. Farm to Table
Keep on the lookout for Farm to Table restaurants, this is a stellar thing to do economically thing to do locally and we need more of these type restaurants in Stark county.
